The only supplier of these superior bloodlines in Wales. We work with the best hatcheries from Holland, France and Belgium providing hardy long lasting strains of commercial hybrids. We also breed our own pure breeds and ducks to match those standards

Set on the mountain near Pontypridd in the Rhondda Fach Valley, we rear poultry as naturally as possible from chicks. Selling direct to the public. Our birds experience natural behaviour and social interactions, this makes a massive difference as they become more socialised and calm in such a setting reducing instances of stress related problems to zero.

Our Heavy laying Hens - The same crosses are available elsewhere - but NOT the same bloodlines. These birds are easier to breed and rear in larger groups and so are much cheaper than the pure breeds

The Rhondda Rock

The greens and purples that come through from the oils in the outer feather are the reason we started with this looker. A very reliable layer up on the mountain.

Rhondda Blue

A Maran based hybrid , will grow faster than her cousins, but be the quietest. Happy to scratch around in the same spot most of the day.

The silver sussex

The negative image of the Sussex hybrid. Always catches your attention like the blues in the mixed coloured flock

Utility white leghorn

These are the more prolific layers of all, a smaller bird with the biggest brain to outsmart most humans. Lovely white eggs with a larger yolk than usual. Just be warned there's a reason why we put them in the box last. If there's an escape route, she'll work it out before you do.

The Welshpoultry Blacktail

A farm favourite. gold neck lacing, a black bum, and cool attitude, what's not to like ?!

The barred rock

Striking in appearance , most people will think you've bought a dearer pure breed.

The Sussex Pont

Similar to the blues in growth rate and and personality. Producing lots of paler, almost coral coloured eggs.

Pure breeds

We only do a limited range of pure breeds because we have bred them to compliment the heavy layers in terms of fertility but with very different egg colours and appearance. Low egg production pure bred birds will suppress the lay from heavy layers, so whilst you might fancy a buff orpington, or a silver laced wyandotte, be aware it wont be long before you are buying eggs.

Rhode Island Red

Chocolate coloured with sexy yellow legs, this strain will match the hybrids and often used as a parent bird to hybridise

Copper blue and black maran

Feathered feet and legs, darker eggs and lots of them.

Cream crested legbar

A good, but the least egg producer of the pures. Shares the attitude of a leghorn but those blue eggs look great in the basket and that peach breast looks great in the flock
